![]() I want to stress that the quality of parties for normal content is really quite similar on each server. For the most part, events are advertised here on reddit or through shout chat in city hubs. A couple people have to tried to make a discord for Primal but were unsuccessful in getting enough traction. I'm not aware of any RP focused discords, but that's probably because it's not my cup of tea. Most of the people I know who play on Primal have just always been here, and usually chose it because that's where their friends played.Īll of the data centers have discords for in-game world fates and hunt spawns. There's a decent sized hardcore and beginner raid population, a decent RP population, etc. Primal isn't known for any particular one thing. That's not to say the raid scene is nonexistant - there are lots of groups and statics recruiting there - but the average raider on crystal is usually newer to the game or raiding in general compared to the average raider on Aether/Primal. For this raid tier, fflogs showed something like 120ish groups had cleared week one - 70ish on Aether, 40ish on Primal, and single digits in Crystal. There are raid groups on crystal too, but fewer, and very few groups that do hardcore prog compared to Aether and Primal. I'm not into RP, but I know people who are, and there's apparently large communities and discords built around it. That's not to say the average DF or PF is better or any different from the other servers, just that statics focused on raiding in Aether are more prevalent.Ĭrystal is the "RP" data center, for similar reasons that Aether is the raid server. Most of those players still play and haven't moved, so there is a large concentration of veteran raiders there. Back in the day when you could only raid with people on your server, people flocked to a handful of servers on Aether if they were interested in raiding. Thanks in advance for the help!Īll three data centers have communities centered around all aspects and ways people play the game, so even if you join the "RP" server you can still find groups to raid with - there will just be fewer of them overall, and fewer veteran raiders.Īether is the "raid" data center. I’m been looking through information regarding this, but it seems the information changes every few months. Are there any communities that are really “organized” and constantly alert people when certain events are happening and form groups for these events quickly? How can I find Discord Servers or other discussion sites for each of the communities/Data Centers/Servers. I was also wondering what would be the best way to connect with these communities. as well as how easy/difficult it is to connect with other players in these communities. I know the FFXIV Community is generally very positive and active, but I was wondering if certain Data Centers were more focused on certain things like RP, Raiding, Hunts, etc. I’m a newbie and know that you can travel between servers within a Data Center so I will probably pick a preferred one for the XP Boost, but I was wondering what the community of each NA Data Center is like.
